Aug 19OK YouTube, I get it. You have this whole algorithm to ensure there aren’t duplicate videos. You hash them and all is well. But if you insist on corrupting my video when I upload it and then telling me to change the length of the video on my end I will fight you.
My 2GB HD wedding reception video just stopped halfway through on your wonderful website and you have left me with absolutely no way to share this with my friends without editing this, which I don’t have the tools for, because either your upload system or your playback system can’t handle how awesome my wife and I are.
If I could shit in your milk I would. Broadcast that you worthless free service that I’m irate with for not giving me this free service in a form I find acceptable.
Update: Thanks to Ryan’s very helpful insight regarding a change of video container, I was able to upload everything without any more drama. This time there was no stutter and all is well with the world. As a gift to both of you I’m going to link the wedding videos here first!
Let’s try this again
Jul 23Hello both of you. I really don’t blog, as the last 5-10 years has shown clearly, but I’ll give it another try. Having recently switched web hosts and gotten my hands dirty with WordPress (and I mean dirty in that ick way) I figured this would be the easiest, cheapest way to try the blog thing again.
This is a theme from I got from ElegantThemes that was obviously made in Photoshop and then cut/paste into CSS. The kicker is the Cufon font garbage the is floating around this piece. Amazing! But really, I don’t care enough to do something more amazing.
Going forward? I probably will post useful things but I can’t promise anything. In the mean time just enjoy the easy listening music that is this color scheme.
